1969 Buick and Sir Mix-A-Lot – My Hooptie (Vid)

It might be one of the greatest lines (pertaining to automobiles) in hip-hop history: “Six-nine Buick, deuce keeps rollin’ – One hub-cap ’cause three got stolen, Bumper shook loose, chrome keeps scrapin’ – Mis-matched tires, and my white walls flakin’” – Sir Mix-A-Lot needed a follow-up to his wildly successful “Baby Got Back” and turned to his trusty ‘69 Buick: aka his hooptie, which in urban vernacular (according to Urban Dictionary) means A junky, worthless car that the owner had put money into that only makes it look worse. Or even comical. Sounds like Mix-A-Lot could have used a Cash for Clunkers program.
