Buick Concepts – The Roadmaster & Wildcat
Buick’s concepts are taking one huge step forward in design and technology.

Buick’s Roadmaster Concept
The Lucerne will be no more in a few years – but will be replaced by Roadmaster. It includes a smaller RWD train, powerful V8 engine and “a refined and upscale interior.” Other reports say the standard model will include a V6 with 6-speed automatic. GM/Buick is hoping the Roadmaster will become “the integral part of Buick’s renaissance plan, an excellent selling, high profit model in the Buick lineup.”

Roadmaster Coupe Concept
According to Buick, the Wildcat is “the ultimate expression of Buick’s renaissance…” Wildcat’s 4.4L Supercharged Northstar V8 engine (pumping 425 horsepower) will surely turn heads when this concept hits your street. One of the most interesting style features leaking is the possibility of T-Tops! The Riviera-type back end is promising, and for a price tag ranging from $58-62k you can bet there will be more than a few style additions. Stay tuned, once interior spy shots hit the web we will post them at BuickPedia!

I would love to see the wildcat on the road and in production. I would also love to see buick bring back the Grand National!! Buick is a great American Icon it should come back with a bang!
What can I say – the faith is dying as the last one – so I have the faith that this kind of cars will be still available at the dealers in the future. Long Live To Buick.
buick has so far been the best car for me i have had park avenue lesabre rivera sky lark and a toyota camry nothing to compare buick is wonderful long i got my first lesabre in 1955 and it was wonderful you cant compare buick with toyotat or honda it is a truly amazing car long live buick
Buickās Roadmaster Concept is absolutely gorgeous and elegant. It would easily be one of the best looking large luxury sedans on the market as depicted here. I am in my late 30′s and I have been considering a broad range of cars including the latest generation American muscle cars all the way to Lexus LS for my next purchase in a year or two. However, the Roadmaster as depicted here, would call my garage home if it would be offered with a ~400hp V8 (LS3?), an advanced and very responsive transmission and priced in the 40′s.
Long Live Buick – Lets bring back the old forefront of Styling – Buick was the styling leader after World War II. Would love to see this again. Hell what do I want I want all three of them. The hell with the Corvette give me a new “Wildcat” or an old “Grand National” or “Grand Sport” lets hope this new ‘Roadmaster is as good as the second generation Roadmasters of the ’90′s which I am still driving and loving. (My first one was still going stong at 297,000 miles when I replaced it with another). As I want a big rear wheel drive / V-8 that rides and drives like a sofa on wheels if scream classic american Automibile. You can also look at these Buick’s and know it is a Buick! Also “Portholes belong on a Buick” — not some small Japanese rice burning lawnmover that seem to have them nowadays.
I think Buick is the best cars out there. My Dad had new Buicks since 1950,1953, 1956, 1959, 1966. His last car was a used 1972 Caddy he bought in 1979. He passed away in 1981.My brother and I kept the Caddy we are trying to fix it up. We both owen Buicks today,I have a 1993 Buick Roadmaster, My Bro. has a 1989 Buick Century, both cars were bought used, and are still going strong.
my dad grew up wwith buicks and oldsmobile cars and i like them to
I hope Buick builds the Roadmaster I see above. If they do I will have one. I love the Lucerne I have now. And the LeSabre before it. Long live Buick and the big American car.
“One of the most interesting style features leaking is the possibility of T-Tops!”
LOL… its funny how they worded this about ‘leaking’ and ‘T-Tops’ hmmmm… might want to stick with the hardtop model!!
Waiting to purchase a Buick Roadmaster, 4dr sedan in 2011 or 2012
whenever this new concept is manufactured. How long will I have to wait?
Was doing some research on Buick Roadmasters and stumbled on to this site and am I glad I did. If Buick GM is perusing this site, I and several friends can’t wait for the new Roadmaster. I have a ’94 and everybody that rides in it, loves it. Only hope they make the interior of the new version big enough to comfortably accommodate 6 Ft tall guys as does the ’94.
That Wildcat also looks terrific! And yes Buick, go with the T-Tops. Be retro avante-guard for a change. Your designers come up with some great concepts, but management gets cold feet. Could not understand why Buick never built the Blackhawk concept as a production model. GM really blew it in a MAJOR way with that one as the selling price of $522K at the Heritage auction attests.
So GM, if Buick is really back, bring the Roadmaster back. And if you genuinely want to score, build both a hardtop and convertible model.
Build this 21st Century Roadmaster and the Limousine industry will purchase. Its classy and large enough to carry luggage and 3 adults with comfort. Learn from the Towncar L series and build an extended body for the Limousine industry. Lets get cracking GM before Toyota makes fools of the American car makers.
I own a 1996 buick road master a it have a 186983 mi.still going today bring it back GM I will trade in my 08 chrysler 300c today its a good car but its not a RoadMaster.
IM EMPLOYED BY GENERAL MOTORS AND SELL THE BUICK PRODUCT AND I DO AGREE BUICK IS AN AMERICAN ICON AND THEY ARE COMING BACK WITH A BANG!!!!! ” THE NEW CLASS OF WORLD CLASS” I’M PROUD TO STAND BEHIND GM
