Buick Will Intro First GM Plug-In Hybrid SUV
Buick, not Chevy and their Volt, will be the first General Motors brand to bring a plug-in hybrid SUV to the public. The vehicle won’t look like your average Buick auto – Saturn’s Vue will be redesigned to bare the Buick name plate and contain hybrid-electric technology. I wonder if Chevrolet is pissed?

The Buick-Vue 2-mode hybrid will contain Volt type batteries, but only run 10 miles on electricity. Specifically, the modified 2-mode hybrid combines a 3.6L V-6 flex-fuel engine to the battery pack. The SUV will charge on standard 110V power in 4-to-5 hours.

Options for the gasoline/flex fuel engine will be a 2.4L Ecotec four-cylinder or 3.0L direct-injected V-6 with all-wheel-drive.
