The Future of Buick in China?
A glimpse of the Buick Envision concept at the Shanghai Auto Show in China may give us a clue as to the future of Buick stateside.
According to China Car Times, “The Envision SUV will have its official global unveiling on the 18th April, the below renderings appear to show a two door coupe style SUV, which honestly looks closer to the Opel Astra sports model than a new crossover model. Reports indicate that the Envision SUV will be a mixture of US and European styles meeting together, from the sports doors you can see subtle nods to the Corvette and Camaro styling, other parts of the car hawk back to sleek European styling.”
I believe it is time for Buick to enter the market with a small/midsize suv. The Envision concept seen here would make a very nice complement to the Enclave. The Evision would not only be for young upcoming couples but for empty nesters as myself who do not need a large SUV to haul around the kids. If you want to make a statement then this is the SUV to due it in.
